Our philosophy:
Flying Too Close is more alive than not flying at all.
Greek myth: Icarus attempts to escape the imprisonment of a tower by flying off of it. In doing so, he gets distracted by the beauty of flight and veers too close to the sun–melting his wings and sending him down
into the depths of the sea.
Ironically, Icarus lived more during his flight
than he ever did at the
top of that tower.

Honduran descent and Illinois bred, I became an avid learner of film the moment I held my first VHS camera. My path involved countless makeshift camera rigs, little to no budgets, and lots and lots of ambition.
I first started directing with friends and family, applying to video contests and working primarily on PSAs. I then branched into narrative work, with my debut film, The Echoes We See, screening at multiple festivals nationwide and garnering awards.
Today, I leverage over a decade of experience to help others tell their own great stories. What started as a challenge to improve my own filmmaking skills evolved into nurturing other people's hearts and journeys. I now run my own company Flying Too Close Productions, located in the DMV area. I am lucky to help clients execute their visions and let their humanity shine through every frame.
